Midwest Speed Quest on Lake Okabena in Worthington Midwest Speed Quest

Each Summer,  from May to October, there is a quest for the fastest windsurfing speed in the Midwest held on Lake Okabena.

Prizes are awarded for the fastest speeds which are documented by data recorded on GPS devices worn by the windsurfers.

People gather here from the area, the region, the whole USA and around the world to take place in this competition.

Individuals schedule the time for their own racing rather than there being only one event scheduled time.

The freeform structure of this event is one of many facets that make this an attractive destination for windsurfers.

MSQ is taking a year off, and stayed tuned for a message for the 2014 season.

More information on this this can be found at their web site.
