Southeast Park has a wide open area that is good for flying kites and things of
that nature, and sports that need a large open area.. The Frosty Riders
snowmobile club uses this park as their home base and store equipment there. The
playground equipment is a variety of things for kids to do.
Portions of the park property were obtained in 1981 and 1982, through the Housing Urban Development Program (CRUD) and from Gary L. & Terry A. Markman, Central Telephone Company, and Donavan Companies, Inc.
An additional portion, being the fonner railroad right of way [?], was obtained from Hawkeye Land Company, in 1987, for $10.00.
